John 16:14

He shall glorify me: for he shall receive of mine, and shall shew it unto you. |

Only those who know the value of Christ’s spiritual presence, can judge of the disciples’ concern when apprehensive of his departure. We have him still in a more excellent way. |

The test of the true spirit: he glorifies Jesus. Try all books, preachers and experience by this. |

By putting life into the ordinances, which without him but a dead letter. |

This a pattern and rule for our prayers. What we find promised we may boldly ask. And this suited for the supply of all our wants and complaints – respecting unbelief, weakness, temptation. When the Spirit shows Jesus, all objections fail. |
Have you seen these things? If not your religion is vain.
Believers bring this as a petition to the table. Do you want to see Jesus? There is only a veil which he can rend in a moment. |
