My Dear Madam
We have taken places in the Reading Post Coach, for Tuesday, from the Black Lion, Water Lane, [1] and hope to be with you in the Evening.
I thought it proper to let you know to prevent suspense.
I hope you and my friends, will pray, that I may have a prosperous journey to you, by the Will of God.
I have only time to say, Our love to Mr Ring, Mr Robinson, and all friends. May the Lord afford us a comfortable and profitable interview.
Believe me to be in deed and in truth
Your affectionate and obliged
John Newton
